Do you know this show?

This is a very good show on words, word sound & spelling.

It is shown on Disney Channel 613 on Astro. The show started a year back & when I first saw it, I know this can be a good show for Iman. I started to introduced Iman the show, but he was too young then.

Iman memorized the ABC song and he knows the number 1-10 when he was just one year plus. But he was just memorizing it, he still did not recognize the letters or number. And just before his 3rd birthday, I found out that he knows how to count and also he recognize all the letters and numbers.

Recently, he understands that letters can become words and from the words it can be sentences and the sentences are in books and we can read it. So I feel it's the right time for him to watch this series. Luckily Astro always have re-run shows, so I tried not to miss the show for him.

At first, he was not very impressed by the show, he prefer his Ben 10 (of course...). But few nights ago, he started to know that he can learn about words and spelling from the show. Then he started to be excited. And the first word that he noticed was BALL.

You see, in WordWorld, all the words come alive... So when you spell B-A-L-L, the letters will become a ball...

Very interesting, right? That's why it's good for your kids. And now, Iman is into spelling all the time!

One funny thing he said last night:

Ibu : Cuba Iman spell BALL kat handphone ibu...

(I handed him my handphone & opened the Note features & the keypad for him..)

Iman : B-A-L-L (he spelled as he typed)

Ibu :Pandai nya anak ibu.. dah pandai spell la...

Iman : Tapi bu... kenapa dia tak jadi ball?? Jadi ball tu, macam dlm WordWorld???

eerrmmm... dah dia imagine semua words akan jadi betul pulak lepas eja... nak kena explain pulak dah... :)

Tapi tak pe... it's all the process of him learning...

Somehow I wish I can find the same show/websites for Malay.. or even Jawi. I think this is one of the easiest way to teach kids to spell.. don't you think?
