Since Iman was little, I have been introducing books to him, as part of my initiatives for him to like books and reading. And now, I can see my effort has become a success. He really loves books and one easy way to lure him out from the toy department is to tell him "Jom Iman, kita pegi kedai buku...".
He's almost three, but he already have a collection of books and he really take great care of all his books. None of his books that I bought since he was a baby are damaged, he never tore the pages from his books/magazine.

Almost every night we read for Iman (but it has been awhile since I last read to him... blame it to my obsession to finish all the housework everyday!). Before I read to him, we always make a deal on how many story I have to read, usually it's two, but sometimes kalau dia tak dapat tido, dia pujuk sampai kena baca 6 cerita...
Then one night, we came to his page....

And he volunteered to read the story to me... FYI, he still doesn't know how to read, so he made up the story based on the picture (The shoe)..
Lebih kurang mcm ni la cerita dia.."Ada satu kasut baru. Dia beli dgn Iman. Dia suka. Pas tu dia kena air (sbb dia nampak kaler biru kat bawah kasut), dia kena hujan.... "
Sorry I don't really remember his version of the story, but he repeatedly say "kasut" and the story goes round and round and round....
Then after 5 minutes, he looked like he's out of idea... His eyes started to wonder around, trying to think and made up what happen to the kasut.. Then I noticed his eyes was on the next page, looking at the picture of the next story...
Then he say...".... dan semut pun datang... Habis.... The end...."
Ape ntah kaitan semut dgn cerita kasut tadi....
Pastu, dia boleh tanya balik...
"Sedap tak cerita Iman Bu?? Betul tak Iman baca? Okey... Ibu pulak baca dgn Iman"
.. and turn to the next page.... hehehehe....
